David Kassir was quoted in The U.S. Sun on the proposed $5,000 Trump Dividend checks and the scams already circling them.

The check does not exist yet. It was proposed in September and tied to Republicans holding the House and Senate in November, and nothing has passed. Until there is a law, there is nothing to apply for. Any website asking you to sign up or hand over information to claim yours today is a scam. Close the tab.

If a check ever does arrive, give it a job before it wanders off: pay down high-interest credit card debt first, build a small emergency cushion, then invest what is left and leave it alone. And do not spend the money in your head before it exists. Run your household on the numbers you control.
